Who We Are:

Please reach us at SCOTT@WHITESANDSBELIZE.COM if you cannot find an answer to your question.

White Sands Energy is the renewable-power subsidiary of Brisa Caribe Holdings in Belize, responsible for developing and operating large-scale solar farms, modular geothermal plants, and waste-to-energy facilities. By uniting industry leaders—such as Solar Island Energy for PV engineering, Blacktail Energy for geothermal expertise, and Energy Fields for advanced W2E technology—it serves as the technical and operational engine of the Belize Energy Independence Initiative, coordinating these diverse projects under a unified strategy to transform the nation’s power sector and secure a sustainable energy future.

The Belize Energy Independence Initiative is a national strategy to transform the country’s power sector by fully meeting domestic electricity demand with renewables by 2030 and exporting surplus clean energy by 2040. It combines utility-scale solar farms, modular geothermal plants, and advanced waste-to-energy facilities—aligned under a single coordinated plan.

By 2030, Belize will meet 100 percent of its electricity demand with clean, home-grown renewables—and by 2040, it will export surplus power—retaining US $140 million annually in energy costs and putting tangible savings into every Belizean’s pocket. This bold plan not only drives down household and business bills, but spurs economic growth through new jobs in project development, operations, and maintenance. By integrating solar, geothermal, and waste-to-energy sources, it guarantees around-the-clock reliability while ending dependence on costly imports, and it positions Belize as the Caribbean’s shining example for meeting—and exceeding—ambitious renewable targets.
